Brightstar Primary School is an exceptional institution based in Middelburg Mpumalanga with our main focus being quality learning and nurturing of all our learners in their journey to achieve their full and unique potential.

At Brightstar we pride ourselves on providing a quality learning experience in a safe and stimulating environment with the ultimate purpose of sending into the world learners who can apply the knowledge and skills taught to them.
At our Nursery School, our children are introduced to concepts in a fun, engaging way, using all five senses to learn. The focus is on learning through games, music, movement, art projects, and nature studies. What may be perceived as play for the learners in actual fact is learning all the basic concepts of Maths, English and Life Skills in a fun and inclusive manner! At the Primary School level we are determined to follow a holistic approach to learning.
We develop and promote the learners eagerness to learn by strengthening and developing their trust in their own ability. We enhance their language skills, artistic abilities, technical skills and strengthen and build their social competence (responsible behaviour, team spirit, integration, development and acceptance of rules and norms, critical thinking). Environmental awareness and the use of modern communication are also vital skills that are imparted.

THE PREAMBLE OF OUR CONSTITUTION
The Constitution was drafted in terms of chapter 5 of the interim Constitution (Act 200 of 1993) and was first adopted by the Constitutional Assembly on 8 May 1996. It was signed into law on 10 December 1996. The process of drafting the Constitution involved many South Africans in the largest public participation program ever carried out in South Africa. After nearly two years of intensive consultations, political parties represented in the Constitutional Assembly negotiated the formulations contained in the text, which are an integration of ideas from ordinary citizens, civil society and political parties represented in and outside of the Constitutional Assembly. This Constitution represents the collective wisdom of the South African people and has been arrived at by general agreement. To this extent, the Preamble of the Constitution encapsulates the dreams and aspirations of the people of South Africa.
ENGLISH
We, the people of South Africa,
Recognise the injustices of our past;
Honour those who suffered for justice and freedom in our land;
Respect those who have worked to build and develop our country; and
Believe that South Africa belongs to all who live in it, united in our diversity.
We therefore, through our freely elected representatives, adopt this Constitution as the supreme law of the Republic so as to –
Heal the divisions of the past and establish a society based on democratic values, social justice and fundamental human rights;
Lay the foundations for a democratic and open society in which government is based on the will of the people and every citizen is equally protected by law;
Improve the quality of life of all citizens and free the potential of each person; and
Build a united and democratic South Africa able to take its rightful place as a sovereign state in the family of nations.

Erken die ongeregtighede van ons verlede;

Daarom neem ons, deur ons vryverkose verteenwoordigers, hierdie Grondwet aan as die hoogste reg van die Republiek ten einde –
Die verdeeldheid van die verlede te heel en ʼn samelewing gegrond op demokratiese waardes, maatskaplike geregtigheid en basiese menseregte te skep;
Die grondslag te lê vir ʼn demokratiese en oop samelewing waarin regering gegrondves is op die wil van die bevolking en elke burger gelyk deur die reg beskerm word;
Die lewensgehalte van alle burgers te verhoog en die potensiaal van elke mens te ontsluit; en
ʼn Verenigde en demokratiese Suid-Afrika te bou wat sy regmatige plek as ʼn soewereine staat in die gemeenskap van nasies kan inneem.
